Eyelids

Open eyes. Refreshed expression.

Thin, highly mobile skin supported by muscle and soft tissue; changes here can affect openness, symmetry, and brightness.

Why eyelid changes occur

The eyelids contain some of the thinnest skin on the body and are in constant motion. Over time, collagen loss, skin laxity, and changes in muscle tone can cause the upper lids to appear heavy or droopy.

Fat redistribution and brow position also influence eyelid appearance. Genetics, sun exposure, and natural aging can make these changes more noticeable, sometimes giving the eyes a tired or less alert look even when well rested.
